Whoa! Back to school. This morning Jim and Alison invited me to help they judge a drama competition by Alison’s form 3 students at SMSAH. Interesting. So I accepted the invitation.
At 8pm, I picked them up at their house. We arrived at SMSAH about 8.15pm and the drama started at 8.30pm. Well, tonight I’m gonna be Paul Moss or maybe Syafinaz Selamat. Watch out for my comments dude.
Wow! All the girls look beautiful with their fancy clothes and make up on their faces. During my school times, I don’t even remember bringing any of it to my school. Check out that high heel shoes (hehehe), how did they manage to bring it to the hostel. Definitely, this is gonna be a night for the girls to show off. And boys are starting to spot their favourite girls and love story begins.
The drama just ok. 5 classes involved in this competition. All the groups came out with different concepts: News casting, Game Show, Soap Opera, CSI Jitra and SMSAH Idol. The purpose of this competition is to encourage students practicing English usage. Credit for them to write their own story for the play. Acting…don’t expect them to really act cause all they do just reading their lines in rush. But some of them were really rock and a few were awesome. Especially the last group… SMSAH Idol. And the winner was of course SMSAH Idol. That’s not because of the theme they chose but because of the commitment and teamwork showed by all the group members. They were really supportive, confident, hilarious and spontaneous. Without our judgments, we already knew who’s gonna win from the feedback of the audience.
I still remember back to my school times in Balik Pulau, events like this were always entertained us. This is the moment that we had a chance to laugh at our friends and teachers. This is how we released our tension after all the studies. We got chances to make jokes, gossip our friends and see loves blossomed up. And me, I will always be a person who was busy at the back stage set up the props or a joker on stage. It’s all such a nice memories in school.
