Waris Jari HantuHadie ajak pi tengok Waris Jari Hantu. Best…best, dia belanja (wuahaha). Aku memang nak tengok sangat cerita nih. I was so attracted to Shumi’s movies started from Pontianak Harum Sundal Malam. Selalunya aku memang tak suka cerita-cerita genre seram Melayu nih tapi Shumi punya produk ada lain skit la.
Waris Jari Hantu, the title itself already caught my attention. There are two things about this movie that make me really want to watch it. First I wanna know about Saka Harimau and second to dive into the conflict of a beautiful woman loving a sissy. The contents are new to the Malaysian viewers, I guess. Plus playing with that kind of feeling is something that should be interesting to think about.
Saka Harimau from my short readings recently was about a person who has a spiritual tiger to protect their family and their village from harm. There are two types of Saka: Saka Darat (hantu raya, langsuir, saka harimau) and Saka Laut (saka buaya, saka naga). This Saka involved services of genie and of course from the most famous genie (jin Afriat).
I still remember when I was a little kid, I used to see my grandfather turned into a tiger on special occasion. Of course not into a real tiger but to act and behave like a tiger. He was a bomoh (paranormal) and he did that for special occasion only. When he was done and back to normal, he will ask what was the bomoh tiger said. It was because he was unconscious about what had happened around him while he was turned into a tiger. And now I wonder whether that was also Saka Harimau.
Anyway, can't wait to watch the movie myself. Hopefully this movie won't let me down.
