Why I like :

  1. He was one of the Malay Kings who refused to sign an agreement of Malayan Union. He and Sultan of Perak then being threaten by Sir Harold MacMicheal to give their approval. He himself wrote a letter to Britain Prime Minister, Britain Opposition Leader and British leader in Malaya protested the formation of Malayan Union. I was amazed that a king from a poor state and not well developed such as Johor can did a great thing and without fear rejected the Malayan union. I admired Sultan Sir Ibrahim, Sultan of Johor but I respected him most. Kedahan is great.
  2. second rank of my old time favourite kings.
