About afternoon, I got a visit from makcik Ani and her son. Great to see her back after haven’t met for the whole year. I still remember that she always came with the late pakcik man to our house during the first day of hari raya. With their red motor kapcai. Old sweet memories.
Then, Jim and Ali came with a papaya for lunch at my house today. That’s cool, papaya from their own tree. Can’t wait to taste it. Ali looked amazing with her skirt from kain batik given by mak last raya. Lunch is ready! We all moved to dining table. Wow! There were nasi beriyani and lontong cooked by the number one chef of mine…mak. They really love mak’s cooking. Alison asked mak how to cook all the dishes. Well, girls talk unless they don’t ask me.
At the table, mostly we talked about foods and books. Games and The Sea, the Sea were the books suggested by both of them. I’m more excited to read The Sea, The Sea by Iris Murdoch but only after I read one more day by Mitch Albom. Suddenly, the phone rang. It’s my aunt, asking for help. My cousin had an accident. She hit the car. She claimed not to see the signal given by the car driver. So, I have to ask Jim and Ali to leave early.
Mak and I went to see my cousin at Klinik Thibroni. There were two girls and two boys with my cousin and my aunt. The story was this A girl drove her friend’s car. She was changing the lane from speeding lane to the first lane and then tried to get into the petrol station. Although she gave a signal before turning into the petrol station, it might be in sudden. That’s why my cousin didn’t see it and hit her car.
Actually nothing is serious about her car. It was just a crack on the back bumper. But they still asked for the compensation. So, my mother had to give them RM100 for the damage. I think that’s too much but since my uncle didn’t want to make a police report; we had to give them the money.
Actually, I’m quite disappointed with my uncle. We tried to call him many times to come to the clinic and settle down everything with the car driver. But he just asked his to solve the problem and his wife had to ask us to help. He didn’t even care about his daughter. That’s bad. I am very very very disappointed with all the men in my family. They never showed a good leadership in their family. Typical Malay guy including my dad…they are such a useless.
What’s important for them, their work, their friends, and their needs fulfill. The rest let their wives handle everything. They let their wives working and have driving license, so that they can clean their hands from doing anything in the family. My wife is a superwoman, she cooks for me, she take care the house, she takes my kids to school and tuition classes, she does the grocery shopping, she pays all the bills and she does a lot of things. And I’m the king in family, just gonna sit on the couch, making sure everything is fine or not I’m gonna scold them. Huh…takes me away from this kind of life. I rather live alone rather than sharing my life with this kind of man.
I wonder God, is it the man that you ask them to be. Don’t they study the Islam? Don’t they learn from our prophet way of life? Suck…they won’t care. Islam for them is praying, fasting, go to Mecca, marry more than one and cover women head.
I’m getting tired of my family. This is the end. Full stop.
